Youth Football
All Deforest Area School District students entering grades 4th-8th for the 2025-2026 school year.
2025 Registration Information
Registration for the Fall 2025 season will open on March 6th and close on June 30th.
After June 30th we will start a waitlist. The waitlist is designed to ensure we have enough equipment for all participants. We will do everything in our power to make sure everyone that wants to play DeForest Football can play.
Cost after June 30th (if there is enough equipment) - $250
Fees include the use of helmet, shoulder pads, game jersey, game pants/belt. All equipment must be returned at the end of the season.
DeForest Gridiron Club
During the registration process, you will have the opportunity to join the DeForest Gridiron Club for $40. The DeForest Gridiron Club supports DeForest Football from Youth all the way through High School. The Gridiron club is imperative to the success of our ONE PROGRAM. The DeForest Gridiron Club will support the youth with large equipment purchases and many other needs. This year, Gridiron Membership will help with large equipment purchases and many other needs. All members will receive a small membership gift and entry in special members-only raffles!
Tackle Football
For those entering into 8th, 7th, and 6th grades in the Fall of 2025.
Practices
Practices will be held Mon-Thur at the Athletic Complex, times TBD
Once school year begins practices will be Mon, Tues, and Thur.
- 7th-8th grade will hold practices at the Middle School, after school, once the school years begins.
- 6th grade will hold practices at the DeForest Athletic Complex, times TBD.
Games
Games will typically be held Saturday mornings, with the exception of a few evening games.
Padded Flag
For those entering to 5th and 4th grade. 5th grade will be in a Traveling league and 4th grade will play in-house.
Practices
4th and 5th grade will practice together on Monday and Tuesday nights.
5th grade will also practice Thursday nights when 4th grade is playing their games.
Games
5th grade: This is up to the host location. This depends on field and official availability. Many locations played in the early afternoon 1:00pm, 2:00pm... For our home weekends, we are going to try and have games at the same time as 6th, 7th and 8th grade games if we can get both fields at the athletic complex.
4th grade: We will have games on Thursday nights. Many of the games will be held at the Athletic Complex but we will work with the High School to try and get games on the Turf when available.
The Deforest Area Youth Football League is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization that promotes a drug, alcohol, and tobacco free environment that offers children the opportunity to build and improve football skills, maintain physical fitness, experience competition, learn sportsmanship, and most importantly HAVE FUN while in a safe environment!
